Mark has been a medical writer for the pharmaceutical industry for more than 12 years.
Prior to working as a medical writer, Mark gained a PhD in molecular endocrinology and oncology from The University of Birmingham, UK, and UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, Texas, USA. After completing his PhD, Mark worked on novel treatments for acute myeloid leukemia as a postdoctoral research fellow for the Leukemia Research Fund, UK.
As a medical writer, Mark has worked in several international medical communications agencies, with experience in many therapeutic areas, but with a focus on oncology and hematologic oncology, which he is passionate about.
Mark also has skills in health care technology assessment that were finely honed during his time at Bazian in the UK. In addition, he is an expert reviewer for the Advertisement Standards Authority in the UK in the field of complementary medicine.
Mark is partnered by his wife Liz, who provides editorial support and who is our financial director.
